Soooo... Just to make sure I get this right: Should I get a cable that is XLR in one end and plug this into the active monitors, and then other end should be a 4 pin DIN connection that I plug into the connection that says "STANDARD" in the group "Output and PSU" and then it should work? That's where I would plug in my power amp. The link I posted earlier doesn't work if you click on it (?), but if you copy-paste it, it should work: www.creative-audio.co.uk/PRODUCTIMAGES/NAI_NAC202_2_BG.jpg I believe the connection called "Link 1" is for an external power supply that is plugged in while the power amp is also plugged in. If I use that "Standard" connection I can only plug in one speaker, can't I?

Arny, I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm asking for help, 'cause I really don't know how to connect these things. And I really appreciate the help you've given so far, but as I'm very much a novice when it comes to these things I'm still confused. And I'm sorry if the picture I provided wasn't very good - I just figured that diagram would be useful, as it showed where to connect what components. If I didn't know anything about Naim, I would have no idea where to connect the power amp or the external power supplies they make. In any case, I would still very much like your help, as I'm still confused as to how to connect the monitors to the NAC 202, if I'm supposed to connect one XLR cable from each monitor into one DIN connection on the pre-amp (the one that says "standard"). I take it I would need to buy one of the converters from Crutchfield that you linked to, but I don't know which one, and I don't know how to connect everything together either :-(. Should I buy the one called "Scosche SLC4 Line Output Converter"? So, as you can tell, I really am a novice about this.

Just to add: Maybe I understand now: Do I just buy one cable that is a 4 pin DIN in one end and 2 XLR connections in the other end (like the link you provided to Flashbacksales) and then plug it into "standard" on my pre-amp? If so, that would be a bit easier than I expected, and I would be a lot less confused :-). And then with my pre-amp I should forget about the converts you linked to?

Just make sure your cable has the correct sex connectors to match the speakers. If the DIN-<-> XLR cable you find has the correct sex XLR connectors on it (they come both male and female) , then you need no additional adapters

Okay, great. That was easy enough then :-) Thanks for all your help. I'm much less confused now.
