I have to replace my Mac / and had a question about ram .
logic x requires 8 gig but I read here and there - that tiu really need 16 Is there any benefit to get 16 gig? Or 8 gig is enough ?

16 is for extensive use of sample libraries. You'd benefit more from an SSD. OWC makes good ones and I'll be getting an upgrade on my current SSD in January. FWIW I use 8 GB and haven't had a problem. I've mixed an EP, went though Berklee's online production program and use my computer daily to make stuff. But then again I do my own sound design and rarely use a lot of Kontakt-y type stuff. Where I really suffer is due to my Mini's integrated graphics. Anyone wanna donate a gently used iMac 5k? -m

Thanks - I was thinking of buying a mini Mac with 8 or ,16 but you cannot replace the ram or the hard drive you have to get the fusion one . I think but I m not sure .
