It appears in the beginning , (As shown in the video) it lasts for a 2- 3 minutes interrupting the audio signal then it slows down a bit and it stops it and behaves normally- I dont hear anything strange, after that during playback or without playback. Any ideas ? Hope dont have to replace it? Many thanks drive.google.com/open?id=0B1KP5jusZIeEdjY1WWYwdnV5ZGM

You mean when you first power it up? I'd guess what you don't want to here, a component inside isn't stablizing untill it warms up a bit. Replace or service. What input method/cable are you using? Possibly poor data transfer that has a bad time locking? Try a different cable or input method. IE USB to S/PDIF Toslink or Optical, vs versa. Just try something else for the heck of it.

Yes when I powered it up - using an optical cable. the only option for the device since it is missing USB capability connection.
It lasts only for 2 minutes and then it does not do it again as long it is on for hours,
My guessing was that if it works and there is no audible or other problem it is OK so I did not have to do anything unless it happens during mixing or recording .
Correct?
Thanks !

Yea, as long as it remains stable after warmup you should be OK for the time being. Optical can be very sensitive to material and length. Run as short a length as possible. You can get a high quality optical cable from BlueJeansCable (Mitsubishi Eska POF) made to length for peanuts, www.bluejeanscable.com/store/digital-audio/index.htm

My question is: Has it been doing this since you first installed it, or is this a recent change? If it is a recent change and there have been no other changes to the system at all, then it may be a sign of some internal change, which may be a warning sign. If it has been doing this since it was installed, then this is probably how it works. Live with it! If there was some other change at the same time when this situation first occurrred, take another look at that change.

it started 1 year ago - 2 years after I used it- not happening in the beginning.
(It is stable when it starts as I said.) I did not notice any other change.
I was thinking per Ethan statement in his book - that digital devises work or not - since there is no audible or other graphic change may I assume it is OK?
Is that wishful thinking ?
Other ways to verify if this is a real problem?
many thanks
