Hello fellow audiophiles,I was wondering if anyone has any problems with staying awake in their control room.
Not sure if it is just me, or the dampening is having some sort of affect on my cognition.
I tend to yawn and feel a bit drowsy every now and then. Not sure if it is just ear fatigue or real tiredness.
I have 20 panels in a 10x10x8 size room. Is it too much? All the red and the 1 black panels are 6 inches thick.
The blue colored ones are 3 inches thick. I wrapped the 6 inch thick ones in garbage bags to help with over dampening. Any Thoughts?

For a small room you really can't have too much absorption. Some people have said they feel disoriented in dead acoustic spaces but I never heard anyone say it made them tired.
Do you get 8 to 9 hours of restful sleep at night? Do you keep regular hours? Do you exercise regularly? Maybe you should see a doctor or go to a sleep clinic?
Cheers, Rock

Roll back on the partying at night, not the panels. LOL

Ya, partying can have an effect.
But, in the beginning, panels had an effect on me too.
People complain about feeling claustrophobic, difficulty breathing etc.
It's normal. What's not normal is being in such a dampened room.
But you get used to it.
