Hey guys, I just sent a thank you note to this Julian Bradley guy. Ordinarily you have to go through his email course to get a link to this playlist but I thought I'd share it: www.themusicalear.com/Your-Transcribing-Playlist/The idea is that the melodies are purely diatonic, although sometimes they use modes beyond ionian and aeolian. If any of you are developing relative pitch and enjoy transcribing, I think this is a great resource. I'm not plugging him nor affiliated; just wanting to share something which has been helping me. -m

Alright, all these melodies are not diatonic.
Stevie sings a bit flat in parts and Louis hits a b5.
But ya, primarily I guess they're diatonic.
Oh and don't count on Fred Durst to be in any kind of key half the time.
Transcribe what you want I guess. The big secret seems to be "listen-think-check" as opposed to plunking around.
At least since doing it that way I've been noticing my ears opening up.

Ok, full chromaticism in "Summertime".
Oh well.
