Hi Everyone. My dedicated basement listening room is making some great progress. Hoping to get sheetrock hung in a few weeks but need to start seriously thinking about flooring.
I initially was considering doing normal carpet / padding however I just don't want to have to deal with fastening the tack strips in to the concrete.
That being said, I've been thinking about some other options. Id like to hear what you all think about them along with suggestions / pros / cons.
1. Commercial Rubber Backed Carpet Tiles
2. Polish / Epoxy Bare Concrete Floor
3. Ceramic Tile
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for the tips!
Erik

Aesthetically, I like carpet so your 1st choice of commercial tiles sound good to me. Acoustically, bare or ceramic is considered fine if the room is treated otherwise but carpet will absorb some high end and will help with first reflections and can quiet the room a bit. In the end, I think it's up to you.
