Hey guys how are you. I've recently come upon a strange problem and desperately need some help. Since recently my 1st Gen apogee duet sometimes dosent record at the correct volume relative to my gainstaging. Anytime this happens the signal is very noisy as if the mic were out in the windy open. I thought maybe I had a bad lead or mic so I removed the interface from the signal chain and sent my signal straight from my preamp to my monitors using the same xlr leads and the same mic and had no noise issue. Obviously my interface is the problem. So I changed interfaces and very strangely I still have the same issue where the mic signal is still sounds windy and the actual signal to be captured is low in volume. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem may be in this case? A core audio issue perhaps?

While someone else might directly know, for my case I'm asking for screenshots, photos, and audio examples if you can provide them. Make sure that, if you host the images here, each one is under 100kB. Thanks.
