Hey guys. If you write songs, sing, or produce vocalists then I've got a handy resource for you. I just made a video on rhyme vowels which includes a colorful chart. This chart contains all 21 English language vowels, standardized symbols, phonetic prompts, and shows their relationships.
Here's the chart: I use this rhyme vowels chart for every song I write. It helps me develop my story and rhyme schemes as well as avoid cliches. Yes, I spelled 'diphthongs' wrong.
Hopefully this helps.

I sense Pat's influence here. I used to have a little demo he taught me about internal rhymes, using Eminem's "Lose Yourself." Quite compelling.

Yep, and I mention him extensively in the video and on my blog post. I'm very happy to take his concept of a Rhyming Worksheet, expand upon, and simplify it. Hopefully this work will get more writers interested in Professor Pattison and/or elucidate his somewhat opaque way of teaching.
You can read the post here. I really recommend Writing Better Lyrics to all songwriters, poets, and music fans. In that post, I provided links from which you can purchase the latest edition of that text.
Thanks.
