I have a 120 mq room available and we should enclose in it almost 40 mq to make a production control room, (no recording instruments,) for techno production.
we already have 12 bass traps built with fiberglass 50 kg /kg3 (like 703) and actually we had a very good result in a squared studio, those traps will be moved in the new one. now we have the opportunity to enclose with a appropriate ratio and seems the 1/1.62/2.62. (suggested somewhere as a golden ratio) I would have a 7,60 mt - 4,64
the height is 2,9 meters so we have to fix length and width to get maximum 40 mq, ( 5,5, -7 around)
how can I use ROOM SIM on REW to make a better decision, chaing the value and looking for a uniform modal distribution? how much is reliable, should I go on some ratio tested,
is possible that during jobs we will not get the perfect, 7,60 and 4,64, so will have to approssimate, and room sim would give a great help.

Here's an online calculator you can experiment with. I entered your "golden ratio" numbers but you can of course change them and see what you come up with. Look at some previous recent posts for links to other useful sites for similar question as yours. amroc.andymel.eu/?l=700&w=470&h=290&r60=0.6Cheers, Rock
