hi
I do home djing, i have a mixtrack pro 3 and a behringer eurorack ub502, my issue is the mic being able to work as im broadcasting on facebook live, i know the mic on the mixtrack isnt routed but i thought if i went through an external mixer this would solve my problem, now when im live the music is fine but i cant seem to get the mic to work so i can do shoutouts, if i plug the mic straight into my p.c thats fine but then theres a delay between me speaking and the music im playing, so that means when i speak its not in time with what im doing, please help as ive been trying to solve this for over a month now and i cant figure it out
thanks in advance
Andy

hi
thanks for your quick reply
on the mixtrack after research the mic input on the mixtrack pro 3 is not dectable its just for live performance so the p.c wont pick it up, so i bought an external mixer and tried to run through that still no joy, i have the asio4all downloaded but still cant get a mic to work, im running virtual dj 8 pro and the mic input is there but still no joy, so i run the usb from mixtrack to p.c then i run the output from mixtrack to external mixer then from external mixer to p.c ive tried everything but i know it must work aslong as my soun is going in it should come out, the music is perfect just no mic
Regards

If you're taking the analog out of your Mixtrack Pro 3 into your UB502 and your mic is also plugged into the UB502, the output of the UB502 should have both Mixtrack and Mic; send that to your amp/speaker for live. It's about as simple as you can get. You should be able to get your mic to work through the UB502 by itself too. What kind of mic are you using? Are you sure it works? Does it require Phantom +48V? There IS NOT +48V on the UB502 so if your mic needs it, the UB502 is not the right mixer and won't work. If you have a USB mic, I don't think that will work either unless there is an option for analog output. (Note: I know nothing about USB mics except that you plug them into a USB port)

I think the issue is that he's trying to broadcast on Facebook. Sometimes getting audio routed can be tricky. A USB mic might work, might not. On Mac there's an app called Soundflower. There are Windows counterparts - here's a thread discussing them: www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/soundflower-equivlent-for-pc.220520/Another option is prerecording your set and just broadcasting it that way. You could always lip sync - not the worst option. Or you could maybe you could create vocal samples of your $/0s and create a sample bank in VDJ - www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NzSUDac5tIOr, like that video suggests, you can use a webcam mic and camstudio... Not sure how that'll integrate with FB tho. I know it should be easier to route audio around inside a computer but it just isn't so. For instance, I'm making a series on YouTube called FLOW and I have to record audio with my phone and sync it later in iMovie. So ya, good luck. Those are my ideas. -m
