Hello there! It's been a while since I was active but here I am again with new question. I was working on my room in summer and finally finished it so it's "usable". Here're my threads: Acoustic treatment of a small mixing/tracking room & Ceiling treatment in low ceiling roomsI'll post some photos of my room later. So my question is, how to find out whether my room has good acoustics. I mean there are few softwares to measure this but I don't know where to start. I am on mac. Any recommendations? I don't want a dead room and I really want to have nice and usable early reflections. Here's the only picture I've got so far for my website but I'll take few more so you can see more details. First reflection panels are 12cm thick and 50kg/m3 dense. Those on the ceiling are 6cm thick and also 50kg/m3 dense. Corner traps are triangle (40x40x56) based and are 5kPa*s/m2 dense. So basically what I am asking for is an advice on how to measure the quality of my room's acoustics and how to treat them according to my needs. Thanks!

Hi tomas.
It's just that your questions have already been answered with the available resources on Ethan's site.
It's time-consuming and redundant to custom answer the basics.
Stickies are at the top of every sub forum - in every forum on Earth.

Can you please refer on some I might overlook? Thanks!

Tomas,
Under the "Acoustics" list of posts you will find two posts at the very top. They are by Ethan an are "stuck" so I imagine that's why they are called "stickies". Please read them both but the second one has a link for measuring. BTW, your room looks good. Nice job! You may need more bass corner traps but measurement is a good next step.
Basically, you want to eliminate or minimize LF peaks, nulls and modal ringing. Modal ringing is shown on waterfall graphs.
Cheers, Rock

Not trying to be rude, Tomas. It's just basic etiquette to lurk moar and familiarize yourself before posting.
Just scour Ethan's personal and Real Traps site. I consider it required reading, nay memorizing, before posting - but that's just me.
