Consoles. Big, warm and expensive. Plugins. Invisible, warm? and maybe free. I did a shootout of Sonimus Satson ($39) and Airwindows Console4 (free). LOL, "The people most nostalgic for tape probably never used it." Yes indeed. And control surfaces too: "I can't mix with a mouse, I need real sliders under my fingers." When I started using DAW software I loved the improved work flow and never looked back.

I've considered control surfaces, and used a few, but, in the end - and like you've shown, it's really not about the tools but about the craftsperson. And the experienced ones agree. -m
