Hello,
I have decided to place a few basstraps according the paneltraps designed by Ethan.
The intention is to treate the livingroom in phases, first I will concentrate onthe wall behind the speakers.
If nececary I will treate the wall behind the couch and the corners.
The room dimensions are L= 5.45cm x B= 4.09cm x H= 2.46cm, see photos for the roomsetup.

First of all I have done a few room measurements, see below the SPL and RT60 results (the measurements are made in an untreated room with default furniture).
SPL:
RT60:
I haven't much experience in acoustical room treatments but I've tried to determine the paneltraps according the measurements.
The paneltraps are calculated with AFMG Soundflow software.
According the measurements I think the best changes are the treat prox. 31Hz, prox. 75Hz and prox 160/170Hz
The goal is the temper the bass freqenties prox. 75Hz (and maybe 32Hz) to gain more balans and details.
With this information I have made a design plan (temporary) for the wall behind the speakers, see the pdf attachment.
Design Wall behind speakers:
Ground plan:
Explanation:
Cornertraps Panel 75Hz --> depth of 14cm with 50mm rockwool 55kg/m3 an cavitiy
behind rockwool of 55mm, plywood 375kg/m3, height 2440mm
Between cornertrap en centertrap Panel 170Hz --> depth of 8.6cm with 30mm rockwool 45kg/m3 an cavitiy
behind rockwool of 25mm, plywood 375kg/m3, 2x height 700mm
(TV installed between the two
paneltraps)
Centertrap 31Hz --> depth of 18cm with 100mm rockwool 55kg/m3 an cavitiy
behind rockwool of 50mm, plywood 375kg/m3, height 2440mm
As you can see at the photos I have allready installed Rockfon plates of 40mm.
Before installing paneltraps I want to know that I am on the right track.
If there are any other ideas, any advice or help is welcome.
Kind regards Marcel
