Hi Guys
I have a samsung UE37C5100 TV and i‘d like to connect my TV with the Samsung HW-K950 soundbar which supports Dolby Atmos. The problem is that my TV doesn‘t support the HDMI ARC (i can‘t find it, but i haven‘t tried) technology. My question: Is it possible to convert a HDMI (only) connection to a HDMI ARC connection? If yes, where can I buy a converter for this? Do I get any problems if I convert my HDMI connection?
Thanks for your replies.
Kind regards, Sandro

It appears that ARC is a feature built into your TV. I don't think you can "convert" new features into your TV with an adapter. I think you're SOL. Check this out: www.cnet.com/news/what-is-audio-return-channel-arc/BTW, I just got a Visio 5.1 soundbar system from Costco last week. It too has HDMI ARC but my older TV does not. In fact the ONLY audio output from my older TV is Toslink optical so that's how I have it hooked up. Thanks for your question, it's the only reason I looked up details re. HDMI ARC. I was willing to leave it as one more thing I know nothing about until you asked

Thanks for your reply. The problem by connecting with the Toslink is that this connection doesn‘t support the Dolby Atmos technology. With the Toslink is only Dolby Digital possible.
