Hello Audio Expert Forum
I am trying to find a good subwoofer for my room to extend my studio monitors for mixing.
I have been considering to obtain monitors with a 6 or 6.5-inch driver because of my room dimensions.
I live in an attic with angled walls and they are slanted and I have knee walls; the measurement that I found for the room was 2,088 cubic feet.
What would anybody recommend for my sizes of my studio monitors? Should I get a smaller sized monitor?
Also, what would be a good size for my subwoofer? Whats a good max spl from a subwoofer inside a room like this?
The monitors that I'm considering are a pair of genelecs but I'm not sure what size to consider - maybe 5 or 6.5 inch? (8000 series)
For the subwoofer, I was considering the 7350A but I want to see what you all consider.
If anyone wants pics or links for better perspective just let me know!
Thanks!

If i understood correctly, your room is about the same size as mine. How have you treated it?
I would go for a 9-15" sized sub.
Pictures would be cool.

I've never seen any evidence that smaller speakers are better for a smaller room, at least in terms of nearfields. I see this repeated a lot so that's why I mention it. While I'm not the most experienced audio engineer here, I have satisfying results with the Yamaha HS series sub and 5" satellites. I'd actually prefer the 8" because you can balance their bass response with that of your sub. If you have the money and time you can use more than one subwoofer to balance your in-room frequency response.
If you have the budget for Genelec then those are probably better, sight unseen. The SAM series, of which the 7030A is a part, incorporates some kind of calibration software. While I'm unsure of the prices, you can probably also get by with their 'classic' series and comprehensive treatment as well.
