hi guys,
I know you need a mask, when working with this stuff, but are there any dangers to moving around cloth fabric covered panels in a small room? I have a small recording both and I move around a box of rigid fiber glass to cover up the door after I've entered the room. I'm using the rockwool equivalent of fiberglass type suggested on these forums.
I have no coughing issues, but I'm still wondering if I risk having health issues in the long term.
Cheers

I've never heard of anyone having trouble. As far as I know, and I'm no doctor and this isn't medical advice, insulation is more of an irritant than a carcinogen. Just don't go snorting it, ok?

On a serious note, i remember on more than one occasion laying the fluffy stuff in a loft with only a flash light, and remember seeing the particles floating around illuminated in the beam of light, as alot easier to see that way, but fail to see that when wrapped in fabric of some sort that the wove would be so large as to allow the fibers to penetrate? Or does the ridged act differently? Think ive heard this kind of thing mentioned before also somewhere here, as somebody was talking about spraying it with glue before hand.....something i was also in the proses of thinking but then somebody pipped up with the hardeding effect would then also become reflective.....im still using the polyfill, but noticed i can now buy rolls of fluffy here now, but not the ridged, really cant see that really happening for a while yet....with the ease of using the pollyfill i dont fancy messing with the fluffy really, least not untill i start taking readings of the room and the change of materials could be beneficial, i need to pop back to the uk again so when i return i hope to start the room analysis, im making everything removable including the superchunks so can strip the room for a base reading, so then hope to share what kind of results i get......i think over all im going to be happy with hexspas advice in his simple uber acoustics thread or im going to be spending more time messing around than recording .....

I'm sure it'll all come in its own time. Glad that post helped but, yeah, don't spray glue your absorbers.
