Hello, I took bunch of acoustic measurements of two different studios I am currently working on records with my band. The studios we have for our records are small and there are not too many reflections. The studios theirself are quite similar, but we are not sure which one seems better acousticaly. I am not going to lie, we are not acoustic experts and trying to study the problem. We borrow a monitor and earthwork qtc-1 and took some measurements, however I am not sure how to read them nor understand them. I would be more than apprecitied if you would help us in reading the graphs and give us suggestions how the studio could be improved in terms of making the image of these studio bigger but adding some treatments. Here's the link to the file of measurements we have. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CRu-_x6YouKndJ0xtaTi7tAy5gALTc5K?usp=sharingThanks

Sorry that I could not see you graphs so I'm no help there. In general small untreated rooms don't sound good for recording when using distant or room mics. Pick the deadest room. I would suggest using close mics to minimize room reflections. I of course don't know anything about your band's instruments but if it's an electric rock or pop kind of thing, bass guitar, and keys go direct to the recoding console or interface, close mic everything else. Use digital reverb, echo etc.
As far as adding treatment, follow the standard principles Ethan describes in the "Read this first" sticky post at the top of this forum.

I believe that the the graphs that you are unable to visualize are meant to be opened / loaded into REW (Room EQ Wizard) Hence the .mdat extension.
