Hello Ethan, I read the article in your page about building deep bass traps ( ethanwiner.com/basstrap.html ) using 1/4 inch thich plywood which approximates to 6.35 mm as the front end. Here I could find plywood boards starting from 8mm thickness from shops. Will this affect the absorption negatively ? Also ,is it ok to use 2 inch thick 48 kg/m3 rockwool panel instead of fiberglass inside the bass trap ? The trap dimenions will be 8 ft tall by 2 ft wide. What is the depth I should be using for these panels ? Thanks and Regards.

The trap tuning depends on the wood thickness (mass / weight really) and the depth of the sealed box. So 8 mm is about 0.31 inches versus 0.25 for the plywood specified, and the frequency will be shifted down the same proportion. Yes, you can use rock wool instead of rigid fiberglass.
As explained in bold print at the beginning of that article, I don't recommend this type of bass traps anymore:
If you tell me the size of your room and, better, have a diagram or 1-2 photos, I can be more specific.
