Ethan says it's from each of the stereo signals arriving at a slightly different time - phase cancellation, basically. For this reason, we use smoothed full-spectrum SPL and unsmoothed below 300Hz. Feel free to post a screenshot - keep it a reasonable size - if you want us to take a look. I will! Is cling film good for bass trap membrane? I found on Gearslutz thats its pretty good even for RFZ because its very light. Thanks

"Is this fabric good and Safe for rockwool without plastic film? www.amazon.com/Agfabric-Landscape-Biodegradable-Gardening-stabilized/dp/B072FHTTWL" Probably "good" in that it covers the rockwool and contains any loose fibers. And probably "Safe" in that it will not cause you health problems, if that's what you mean by safe... but I'm not a doctor or health professional so I can't vouch for it. But because I have never used, seen or touched that particular product, I can't vouch do for what it can or can't do either but my guess is it's probably OK. I have however used this stuff below from my local Menards home improvement "Big Box Store" www.menards.com/main/building-materials/landscaping-materials/landscaping-fabric/yardworks-reg-3-x-50-economy-landscape-fabric/00001/p-1444427384331-c-13236.htmIt's very cheap and so thin that you can see through it in some areas so for decorative reasons, I double it on visible surfaces. It's very thin and breathable so I consider it acoustically transparent. I have found that it will deteriorate in sunlight because I placed some panels in front of windows and after a couple years, the fabric disintegrated. On the other hand, panels in the otherwise dark and artificially lighted room are in tact after many years. I consider this material "temporary" and if I were to build permanent, professional quality panels, I would consider speaker grille cloth or www.guilfordofmaine.com/ or even burlap would be better than landscape fabric but nowhere near as cheap!

Seran wrap? I'd rather keep that on my edible sandwiches. Reuse paper grocery bags if you're on a budget. It's not that I know for sure something so thin won't work as much as I know that the paper that actually comes on faced insulation certainly does. While I'm not sure about you, I don't like doing things twice when I could've done them right the first time by not being my special brand of cheap.

I anticipate that you'll find favorable data to support that claim. Even so, I haven't seen direct comparison between the two materials. Based on that, I can't say you're better off with kraft paper yet I'll assume that in the interim.
They're your panels - do as you please.
