Update. Did some reading on speaker placement. The HS50m manual says to get them at least 5' from the wall. Makes sense when using a sub I guess so you can crossover at about 100 or so. Good thing I had 13' 4"! Anything less would be uncivilized - my equilateral triangle is only 2'! There are some Indian neighbors so I went Raga. Like I mentioned, I subwoofer crawled and just put my satellites in the only place I could really. I guess you need 1/4 wavelength for a sound to take shape so I'm around that 100Hz mark I guess, maybe higher. Anyway it's a fair listening experience. I'd love to share it with you but two won't fit.

I measured cardinal points in a 4" radius. Fore and aft gives the most consistent variation while left and right, probably due to the side wall's proximity, wobbles a bit. About that midrange null.. should I be worried? It calculates to a 7" 1/4 boundary. I suspect it's due to having had placed my microphone on a practice pad - my mic stand won't go down to 35". I should mention that beyond my affinity for the floor, 36" is 38% ceiling to floor and I hypothesized I'd get a better response down here. Besides, I'm getting ready to go back to jiu jitsu. Just thought I'd share. Apache! -m

I wouldn't be surprised if those mid frequency nulls had something to do with the 8" bricks I'm using as supports - they are hollow. When I get some fluffy I'll have to stuff them.

I guess they resumed FCC at the local refinery. RTA and ears reveal low frequency rumble. It's about as loud as the ocean was at my last location, maybe a little less. 20-29dB A weighted at 3am including my monitors' hum.

Nulls might or might not be real. Move the measuring microphone a few inches or a few feet and see what changes.

Nulls might or might not be real. Move the measuring microphone a few inches or a few feet and see what changes. --Ethan For that series of measurements, four or five pairs of measurements were taken: center, up (a round mic stand base), right, back, left - twice each. The nulls were always there though more pronounced on the left and right side. Anyway, I'm going to redo everything in a bit because - I'm making my superchunks! Excited. I'm cutting my frames now (1 1/4" galvanized drywall bead). I bought some JM R19 23" batts earlier yesterday. These things are going to be legit big. Unfortunately budget dictates only nine 4'x34" traps will be installed. My target is to add a total of 27 but if I can get a waterfall or decay graph somehow maybe I won't need that many. Still I dream of all my corners being filled. These frames are taking an obscene amount of time to make. Of course measurements will follow but, again, I don't think I'll have access to the waterfall plot or anything other than frequency response. Maybe Fuzz Measure will let me license an older release compatible with my OS - I think they will - hopefully. Apache, -m

Sneak peek Even with that one chunk and all those pieces on the floor it sounds way better in here.

Superchunks are done. A day of rest, then to decide whether to proceed with more absorption, a diffuser project or just use the rigid panels currently at my disposal and continue with the rest of my life for now.

So much for rest.
On the other hand I've done extensive measurements of this room. Far too many to post - almost 30 of them - including: measurements how everything was initially with the superchunks, then removing all acoustic treatment, close micing the sub and mains, repositioning speakers closer to the wall and more distant (about 102" triangle) and then over 20 measurements dialing in the (sub mostly) new position.
The sub is currently under my desk and very low in volume - I like it much better. No longer is it pulling the image to the right and uncomfortably loud. To me the bass is currently more balanced and the response isn't bad though it's clear that ceiling absorption would benefit me in here greatly.
Why not post some images...

Ok first my original, close, setup with treatment:

Then, same position and setup, no treatment:
