Hi everyone I´m a bit confused about the topic of the airgap behind a porous absorber. does that has to be an air-proof volume after the porous material, in the same box? Or could this be an air gap, originated throug an absorberbox placed some space before a wall? thanx for your help! Stefan

Hi Stefan, The gap or space is simply that, just a free open space, not enclosed and sealed like resonant panel and Helmholtz absorbers.
