Hello Everyone!
Hobby beginner Engineer living in Germany needs help from you advanced people in the forum!
I would like to build a portable "sound booth/gobo" to record abroad at different peoples places...was thinking about 3 stands, being placed behind and to both sides of the vocalist and 1 being placed above...all together reducing the ER hitting the mic...
In Germany the height of rooms is mostly between 2,40m- 2,50m...incase thats of interest...
Questions :-)
1. what thickness of rock wool would be best?
2. what hight should I aim for building them?
I hope you guys can help me out without overcomplicating things, alright ;-)

If the panels are large enough you don't need them behind or above the performers. When you sing or play the saxophone etc toward a large enough group of panels, that stops the sound right there before it even gets out into the room to bounce around. So model whatever you make after these products, using insulation at least a couple of inches thick:
