Hi, I'm looking for somebody here who is making those styles of music (see title), if it is possible somebody who actually releases (or had released) songs through Labels (commercial quality), for comparing the room treatment: size, variants of treatments, speakers type, subwoofer (if)... and everything else you think would be useful...

Are you asking whether there's a standard room quality for making EDM? I don't have the qualifications you seek but, from what I've gathered, Skrillex made "Scary Monsters" in a squat with a laptop and blown speakers. I guess you could argue the room may have had sufficient volume to reduce modes and early reflections but it seems far from what most would consider ideal. Also, look at guys like Martin Garrix with "Animals". I don't know if he made it in this room www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfCmoEixxro but if so, it speaks to the first point. Lots of people make amazing things in rooms you'd ordinarily assume are bad. I mean, look at Andrew Scheps' room: youtu.be/7B-_qEXU2ys?t=5m9s You can't tell me he's in an RFZ. One area acoustic treatment really helps is with recording live instruments. There, I don't think anyone will argue. I really don't know, brother. My acoustic treatment is a dear friend to me. We live in a topsy-turvy world where anything might be possible with surprises at every turn. Thanks.

Hi Hexspa, of course not ideal room... my intent is the opposite, to see what we can do in a common room. Especially for music where bass is important (fundamental). (I wonder how much luck there is in making a song in a laptop with blown speakers, then making it like a success. Is that a common way for success (or quality)? Skrillex has also a lot of aknowledge, and producers friends with fully treated studio... If he MADE (created) that song in his laptop and then PRODUCED it in a real studio, everybody thinks abouth that laptop instead to think about the environment.) Andrew Scheps really seems to be in ''his own'' RFZ BTW thanks Hexspa for you contribution. (I'm trying to post this quick reply, but appears an image with a bear using his claws to damage some electronic equipment ...) Simply discussing EDM/electronic music in a common room... with quality (and treatment variants, if any).

Regardless of the musical style, I believe the main reason to treat a room for mixing is to get a mix that will sound good or at least the way you want it to be heard in other rooms with other equipment; things over which you have no control. Since bass is affected so much in common rooms you typically find in residences i.e. "small rooms", acoustic treatment would probably be especially important for mixing EDM.
If you're wondering if you should treat an EDM mixing room differently than a room for any other style, I would say no and that you should follow the typical suggestions Ethan has provided here.

That's an interesting way to look at it, rock. It's as though a mix is a photoshop image with three layers: your room, your listener's room, and the music. The more you can make your room transparent the more is left to their room and the music. If they can make their room transparent then there's just the music. mind. blown.
