I am curious as to how the EH 6sn7 gold pinned tubes sound relative to the classic vintage tubes like the Tung Sol round plate or the Sylvania W's or RCA grey glass, etc. I have only one 6sn7 tube in my preamp so the sound from this tube is very important and "shapes" the overall sound it get.
thanks

With due respect, I suggest that you read this paper: classicalcandor.blogspot.com/2019/06/on-vacuum-tubesthen-and-now.htmlThat paper doesn't directly address your question, but it will enhance your perspective. None of those "classic vintage" products truly exist today. Tung-Sol went defunct in the mid-1960s, and neither Sylvania nor RCA has made any (receiver-type) vacuum tubes for > four decades.

I feel the sound of vales is subjective. I have been using NOS tubes in diffrent radios for years and have come to the point that anything being manufatured today is more reliable and dosn't affect and type of "tone" Sorry : )
