Hi Guys. MDAT file and PHOTOS at the end. I need to take my room to another level. With new speakers and more bass traps I made it worse haha. I found many good posts by Jens Eklund on Gearslutz. 1. How ETC graph is important - Dont know why but I cant really make my ETC graph to work thats why I posted here MDAT file with left speaker, right speaker, both speakers results. 2. He suggested to place your speakers and listening position outside of nulls/nodes. Is there a program where I can calculate where my nulls/nodes are (based on dimensions)? I need to try that. My room dimensions - Lenght - 4,67 m Width - 3,40 m Height - 2,63 m Listening position: Speakers (PSI A21) - 53 cm from the front wall. 113 cm apart. I sit cca 165 cm from the front wall. I have handmade rockwool bass traps. 4 corners - florr to ceiling - very thick. Window behind speakers. My mixes sounds boomy outside of this room (and the reference tracks thin - because of 70-80hz null) and hi frequencies seems to be too dead sounding here maybe because of THICK carpet on the floor and thick curtains on the window behind the speakers. Please help because I'm getting depressed haha THANKS!! PHOTOS and MDAT drive.google.com/drive/folders/1BHHgJzsuoP_Cvlo2x0doLnz4WN4pKFVe?usp=sharing

Why'd you change it? I was hoping to use your room as a positive example of positioning but now I have to use it as a bad example Just put everything back! As you know, I have a video series - script is done for the first three videos - that goes into calculating modes based on dimensions. It'll be out soon. I actually did a full analysis on your room for internal use but I'm not going to post my outwardly incoherent scribble here. ETC is important but if you use Ethan's method of treating first reflection points that are within 10' then you shouldn't need to dive that deep. You have too much wall surface area exposed. I'm always going to ask that you start from scratch, empty your room, and go piece by piece. But for now, either put things how they were, cover more surface area or grab some because I have a video coming out that you might want to see. And chill!

" Can you send me it to my email adress? dcmbrflower070@gmail.com "Why'd you change it? " I just made more bass traps more that and more that to make it better and I killed it haha. Dont know why They say - the more bass traps the better.

The more bass traps the better, yes, in general but placement matters a lot.

Do you really want NOT to be so frustrated with your room? I want to help you. Take EVERYTHING out of your room, yes EVERYTHING. Even those Neumann kh120's, if they're not your main listening(I assume you use PSI). Leave those main speakers, a chair and an audio interface. Then, you need to make some measurements. Please, post pictures when you're done with emptying the room. I'll commit to help you along the way

Only think that will be complicated are bass traps in the corner because I just install them forever haha But I will try! INTERESTING FACT: I tried to reverse my position just for fun. So my speakers are firing to the window - terrible idea i know but my FR looks much better and It feels great with no nulls. I finally have full sound.

Make sure to compare decay as well.
