Just wondering if the worst possible room could be made workable.
Got to find a new apartment. Curious if I can make a small cube work if I use enough treatment.
Anyone make this work first hand? If I use 15" fluffy on all vertical surfaces, treat the entire ceiling with 4" mineral wool, gap it all and use FRK would the room become workable possibly?

Dodn't you just move last year? You've got to settle down, son. How small are we talkin'? I mean... headphones work in a pretty teeny "room" in your ear, so it seems that it would be a rewarding 'challenge'. I suppose it depends on your expectations and previous, comparitive rooms. My shitty little room is 'coming alive' as I strive to improve the general acoustics. I cannot believe the huge difference after my recent initial assault by the installation of twelve panels of 2" 703. I think that you're probably the kind of guy who likes a challenge. Besides, when you say, "GOT to find a new apartment", it doesn't sound like you've much of a choice.

Headphones create an airtight environment which allows them to work afaik. Since I still need to breathe I'm guessing volume, symmetry and non-multiple dimensions is still my recipe for success. Regardless there will be new acoustics videos and posts up soon for sure. If I can make a pdf about treating a room then damn it I should be able to treat one. -m
