Came up with an acronym for Ethan's four categories of audio purity.

TENDr

Time-based Errors

Noise

Distortion (newly added frequencies)

frequency Response - also Ringing

Level must figure in there somewhere ~~as well as virginity~~ but maybe that's obvious. Might be useful for someone trying to describe how something sounds besides qualitative words like 'warm' or 'brown'. Maybe not 'brown', however; that's a legit science word. I think.
