I have a DAC (actually a Pre Box S2 Digital preamp) connected to my computer via USB. When it is plugged in then Windows does not turn off the monitor. So I listen to the radio for an hour or two and for that time the monitor will be on. Normally, the system (Windows 10) will turn off the monitor, for example, after two minutes, depends on the settings, but when I plug in this DAC monitor will stay on. I can turn off the monitor with the monitor switch, but it is annoying. One time is ok, but the tenth time is annoying. Does anyone have a solution to get the system back under control? Scripts do not work, checked. Is this at all the norm or the exception? There are a bunch of amplifiers with a DAC. Do other DACs also prevent the operating system from turning off the monitor? Such behavior is not very conducive to power saving. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Have you tried toggling Power Options/Advanced Settings/ USB settings/USB selective suspend? Personally, I used the gigperformer optimizations plus I never let anything sleep. Currently, I have selective suspend disabled.

Yes, I tried it. I'll read the manual (Gig Performer), maybe I can find the answer there. Thanks Hexspa.
